A poke at John Stamos taking showers
with men has been edited out from a recent promo for the NBC sitcom
The Office.
In the original promo which began
airing last Thursday, Andy (played by Ed Helms) claims he's gay in
order to break up with his girlfriend and begin dating another girl.
“I'm gay,” Andy says in the clip.
“I had to fake it. I had to imagine that I was in a steam room
with John Stamos.”
Celebrity website TMZ.com reported on
Thursday that Stamos' name has been cut from the promo.
Andy now says, “I'm gay. I had to
fake it. I had to imagine that I was in a steam room with cool
guys.” (Watch

Stamos most likely wouldn't mind the
joke given that he recently said he is proud to be considered an
“honorary gay man” as he presented at the Gay & Lesbian
Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Media Awards in New York City.
He also joked that while working on the daytime soap General
Hospital “strange men repeatedly told me how they wished I were
gay. But enough about Kirk Cameron.”
Later in the evening, Stamos
kissed a man for charity.
