Singer Adam Lambert is set to perform Monday, April 9 on cabler Logo's NewNowNext Awards.

Lambert announced the appearance Thursday during an interview on cabler VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

The 30-year-old former American Idol contestant attended last year's show, which took place at the Avalon in Hollywood, California, with his boyfriend, Finnish reality star Sauli Koskinen. The pair sat next to former American Idol judge Paula Abdul.

At the show, Lambert introduced Robyn's musical performance.

“I'm going to be performing on Logo's NewNowNext Awards,” Lambert said as host Carrie Keagan provided a drum roll.

“I was actually there last year and I introduced Robyn. She was one of the performers last year. She was rad,” Lambert added. “It was a really fun night. And I got to sit with Paula Abdul. I had not seen her in a while. It was great.”

On the subject of joining the legendary British rock band Queen, Lambert said: “I'm talking to Queen about doing something. I got to perform with them on the [European Music Awards], which was so incredible – such an honor to be asked. And there may be something on the horizon, but I'm not joining the band. I have my own album that I need to promote this year.” (Watch the entire interview at VH1.com)

Lambert's second studio album is titled Trespassing.
