Hulk Hogan has denied claims by ex-wife
Linda Hogan that he carried on an intimate relationship with fellow
wrestler Brutus Beefcake, real name Edward Leslie.
The 58-year-old Hulk Hogan, real name
Terry Gene Bollea, appeared Thursday on the Wendy Williams Show.
When host Wendy Williams asked Hogan
for his reaction to the allegations, he answered: “Well, you know,
it's tough, because a lot of my friends in normal life, a lot of my
friends in the entertainment business, a lot of my friends in the
wrestling business, you know, are gay. And it has nothing to do with
the quality of person, or how nice they are. And I've seen how they've
been discriminated against. I mean, in the old South, if you said
somebody was gay, the next you knew they were hung or drug behind a
truck. That whole barbaric mindset, I thought was gone.”
Hogan received a round of applause from
the audience when he added: “If it was true, and I was gay, I'd
embrace it and I'd tell you guys about it and I'd celebrate it.”
