Dr. Brent Ridge and Josh Kilmer-Purcell
of The Fabulous Beekman Boys are engaged to marry.
According to gay blog Queerty.com,
the reality stars got engaged on Friday at a New York City hotel as
cameras rolled for cabler Bravo's The Real Housewives of NYC.
Ridge and Kilmer-Purcell were guests of
honor at the party hosted by several of the stars of the reality
show.
At the end of the evening, Ridge pulled
out a ring and said to Kilmer-Purcell: “I designed this ring for
you. It's imperfect on all sides, like both of us are. It's hand
forged from steel, like our 13-year relationship. And it's also
lined with silver. Because we always find the silver lining.”
“Will you marry me?” Ridge asked as
he got down on one knee.
“Yes,” Kilmer-Purcell replied.
In The Fabulous Beekman Boys,
now canceled after two seasons on cabler Planet
Green, the couple works to create a self-sustaining organic
farm in upstate New York. Their lifestyle brand Beekman 1802
produced an artisan cheese made from goat milk, several varieties of
goat milk soap and heirloom seed collections.
