Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka
star in a holiday fundraising campaign ad for the Los Angeles Gay &
Lesbian Center.
The center's goal is to raise $100,000,
GregInHollywood.com reported.
The video begins with Harris
introducing his “better half.”
“I am better,” Burtka jokes with a
smile.
“This month alone, hundreds of LGBT
in Los Angeles will knock on the Center's doors asking for help,”
Burtka says. “They don't know what it's like to have loving and
supportive homes.”
“The good news is that the Center is
there to help when they need it the most,” Harris adds. “Food, a
warm bed, counseling and, most important of all, love and
acceptance.” (The video is embedded in the right panel of this

The Center Executive Director Lorri L.
Jean said demand for her group's services rise during the winter
months.
For homeless gay youth, “the only
gift that matters this holiday season is the gift of acceptance,”
Jean said. “For many LGBT teens that have run away or been kicked
out of their home, we're the only family they have.”
