George Michael's health is improving
“by the hour,” boyfriend Fadi Fawaz has told UK paper the Daily
Record.
The 48-year-old Michael was forced to
postpone his Symphonica UK tour after falling ill with pneumonia in
Vienna. The singer was rushed to a Vienna hospital on Monday.
Fawaz, 38, told the paper that Michael
is “getting better by the hour.”
“George is doing well and is in good
spirits. I have been seeing him each day and I can see he is getting
stronger all the time. George is trying to stay upbeat,” Fawaz
said.
“He is smiling through it all and
everyone is just willing him to get better,” he added.
Fawaz also dismissed reports that
Michael's condition had worsened.
“A lot of what has been reported
about George's condition isn't true,” the Australian-born celebrity
hairdresser said. “His condition is getting better. It is
bullshit some of the things which are being said.”
Michael announced his new symphony
orchestra-backed tour in May during a press conference at London's
Royal Opera House. He also said he would be recording a new album
during breaks on the tour.
