Former 'NSYNC star Lance Bass says he wants to believe that celebrity blogger Perez Hilton is done outing closeted gay celebrities.

Hilton, 32, outed Neil Patrick Harris, star of CBS' How I Met Your Mother, and Bass on his blog, PerezHilton.com.

In an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Hilton told DeGeneres that he was surprised to find out that people view him as an online bully.

“I want to be able to continue to speak out on the gay bullying and the teen suicides and I want to be able to go to the rallies and the marches like I have been in the past and not have people in my own community feel ashamed about me or embarrassed,” he told his host.

The 31-year-old Bass responded in an interview with E! Online: “I hope it's sincere. It's good that he takes that responsibility because I do believe that he's one of the reasons it taught the younger generation how to cyber bully. He started that. I mean, he outed me.”
