Gay diva and glam rocker Lady Gaga says
a ruling declaring California's gay marriage ban unconstitutional
moved her to make music.
“At the moments notice of PROP 8
DEATH I instantly began to write music,” Gaga tweeted to her nearly
5.3 million followers on Wednesday. “BUBBLE DREAMS FOREVER! FULL
EQUALITY! THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING!”
“REJOICE and CELEBRATE gay
communities and straight all over the world,” she tweeted moments
later. “Our voices are being heard! Loud! SCREAM LOUD
AMERICANOS!”
Lady Gaga wasn't the only celebrity to
take to Twitter yesterday.
“YEAHHHHH!!!!! #PROP8UNCONSTITUTIONAL
MOVING FORWARD,” openly gay singer Ricky Martin,who has 1.3 million
followers, tweeted.
“Prop 8 Overturned!” rocker Adam
Lambert, who is gay, tweeted to his half a million followers. “I'm
glad California has restored the right for ALL of its citizens to
marry whoever they choose.”
“This just in: Equality won!” Ellen
DeGeneres, who married actress Portia de Rossi in California, tweeted
to her nearly 5 million followers.
“We're all equal, and we should all
have equal rights,” she added. “I'm so grateful for today's
decision.”
