Nick Jonas has promised “a big reveal and surprise” for his gay Kingdom character in the show's upcoming second season.

The series from creator Byron Balasco revolves around a gym for Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) competitors in Venice Beach.

Jonas (Smash) plays Nate Kulina, an MMA fighter, in the show.

In Kingdom's season 1 finale, a drunken Nate is ejected from a gay bar but still manages to find some company, revealing his sexuality for the first time.

Jonas told DigitalSpy.com that filming for the show's second season has already started. “[W]hich is why I've shaved my head,” he said.

“I do know where it's going but I can't say because it's going to be a big reveal and surprise,” he said of his character.

“It's great writing, really honest and personal, and I'm just excited for people to see it and be able to tell the story in the way we're telling it,” he added.
