Out singer Sam Smith recently revealed
his plans to help gay guys struggling to come out.
The 22-year-old Smith told The
Guardian about his plan to establish a charity.
“I may not be comfortable with my
weight, or with the way I look, but I'm really comfortable with my
sexuality,” Smith said in response to criticism over his statement
last year that he's not interested in being a spokesman for the LGBT
community. “That's one thing I have mastered.”
Smith said that he plans to begin
raising funds for the group this summer.
The charity would involve “money
going to gay guys who are struggling to come out in different
countries … I'm very aware that we are not where we should be, so
I'm trying to play my part. But in a certain way, in my way.”
