The National Organization for Marriage
(NOM) has launched ads urging voters not to re-elect Senators Mark
Pryor of Arkansas and Kay Hagan of North Carolina.
In Kay Hagan's Judge, NOM claims
Hagan “hand-picked and confirmed” the federal judge who struck
down North Carolina's ban on gay marriage. Such confirmations,
however, are voted on by the full Senate.
The group endorses North Carolina House
Speaker Thom Tillis, who continues to defend the state's ban in court
using taxpayer dollars against impossible odds.
“Kay Hagan and her judge betrayed
us,” a female narrator says. “Send them a message; vote Thom
Tillis for U.S. Senate.” (The video is embedded on this page.

Arkansas Senator Mark Pryor is one of
only a handful of Democratic senators who have yet to endorse
marriage equality.
In I Gotta Run, NOM questions
the strength of Pryor's opposition and urges viewers to cast their
votes for U.S. Representative Tom Cotton, a vocal opponent of
marriage equality.
NOM President Brian Brown said in as
statement that Pryor's commitment “has been seriously undermined by
his refusal to answer questions about his current position in light
of a court decision finding the Arkansas marriage amendment
unconstitutional.”
“Of even greater concern are comments
by a prominent lesbian leader who says Pryor has told her he does not
oppose gay marriage, but just can't talk about the issue right now.
This powerful new ad exposes Pryor for this duplicity.”
“Tom Cotton will fight for marriage
while Mark Pryor cannot be trusted,” Brown added. “We urge
voters who believe in marriage as the union of one man and one woman
to cast their votes for Tom Cotton.”
