Gay military drama Burning Blue
opens Friday in select theaters and video on demand.
The film, which is based on DMW Greer's
1992 off-Broadway play of the same name, recounts the story of two
Navy pilots who fall in love during the “Don't Ask, Don't Tell”
era.
In a new clip from the film released
Thursday, Dan (played by Trent Ford) tries to convince Matt (Rob
Mayes) to chalk up their romance to a “drunken night in New York.”
But an unconvinced Matt insists he's made up his mind and the pair
share a kiss. (The video is embedded on this page. Visit
our video library for more videos.)
In addition to Ford (Gosford Park)
and Mayes (The Client List), Burning Blue, which
premiered last year at San Francisco's Frameline Film Festival, stars
Morgan Spector (Broadway Empire) and Tammy Blanchard (Life
with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows).
Bloggers have dubbed
the film “Brokeback Mountain meets Top Gun.”
