The German version of men's glossy GQ
has launched a campaign against homophobia that features photographs
of hunky straight men sharing a kiss.
Thirteen German celebrities joined the
campaign, titled Gentlemen Against Homophobia: #Mundpropaganda (word
of mouth), including singer Herbert Gronemeyet, actors Ken Duken,
Kostja Ullmann and August Diehl, rappers Moses Pelham and Thomas D,
Olympian Julius Brink, and members of the bands Fettes Brot and
Revolverheld, The
Local reported.
Editor-in-chief Jose Redondo-Vega said:
“The intolerance that homosexuals are still fighting is shocking.
With #Mundpropaganda we wanted to give a clear sign in favor of a
free society.”
“Everybody has his own nature,”
said Thomas D. “That's the message we want to spread. You can't
tell anyone who to love.”
Brink added: “For me, it was the
first time I kissed a man on the lips. It was an interesting
experience, but I still prefer my wife.”
The photos appear in the January issue
of GQ, available on newstands now.
