Adam Lambert, LeAnn Rimes and Darren
Criss are among the celebrities participating in The New F
Word photo campaign against bullying.
The celebrities are pictured dressed in
black in front of a deep red backdrop giving the finger under the
tagline “Giving Bullying The Bird.” The campaign supports the
Friend
Movement, a Los Angeles-based anti-bullying organization created
by director Elliot London and model Ronnie Kroell.
The new “F” word is “friend,”
and it is meant to replace hurtful words such as “fatty,” “freak”
and “fag.”
Creators said the campaign is designed
to empower victims.
Other celebrities participating include
Tim Gunn, Lance Bass, Carmen Elektra, and Rumer Willis.
London is also working on a documentary
film on bullying titled FRIEND.
