Greg Louganis, who won four Olympic gold medals in diving, has called living with HIV “challenging.”

The 52-year-old openly gay Louganis tested positive for HIV, the virus which causes AIDS, in 1988.

In an appearance on CNN from the 2012 Olympic Games taking place in London, Louganis discussed living with HIV.

“Honestly, I didn't think I'd see 30,” Louganis said.

When Morgan noted that Louganis and Magic Johnson have been living well and in the public with HIV for over 20 years, Louganis said it was a “double-edged sword.”

“Because now young kids are seeing us and they're saying, 'Well they're alive, thriving and all that.' But I wouldn't wish my drug regimen on anyone. And the things that I've been through have been pretty devastating.”

“It's challenging,” he added. (The video is embedded in the right panel of this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)
