Rick Perry has released a new ad in
Iowa that links faith to anti-gay sentiment.
Perry, whose poll numbers have fallen
to 7 percent in the latest Real Clear Politics survey, questions
President Barack Obama's faith for allowing gay and bisexual service
members to serve openly in the military.

In the 30-second ad, Perry, dressed
causally in a traditional Carhartt work coat, walks in a lush meadow
as he speaks.
“I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a
Christian, but you don't need to be in the pew every Sunday to know
there's something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in
the military but our kids can't openly celebrate Christmas or pray in
school,” the Texas governor says in the ad “As president, I'll
end Obama's war on religion. And I'll fight against liberal attacks
on our religious heritage. Faith made America strong. It can make
her strong again.” (The video is embedded in the right panel of
