Larry King Joins HRC's Campaign To Legalize Gay Marriage In New York

Interviewer Larry King is the latest celebrity to join the Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) New Yorkers for Marriage Equality campaign.
“I'm Larry King and I'm a native New Yorker,” King says in his 30-second video ad. “And I know a thing or two about marriage, maybe three, maybe four.”
“Some of us can get married again and again. And others can't get married at all. Can't figure that out,” he says, referring to his eight marriages to seven different women.
“Let's make marriage equality the law in New York and let's do it now,” King adds. (The video is embedded in the right panel of this page.)
The 77-year-old King is best known for hosting CNN's nightly interview program Larry King Live. The program went off the air after 25 years in December.
King is among the growing number of celebrities and prominent politicians to record a video for the campaign that began last year.
Five gay rights groups – including HRC – last month announced the formation of New Yorkers United for Marriage to begin a new push for the legalization of gay marriage in New York. The campaign will be coordinated by Governor Andrew Cuomo's office. On Tuesday, New York state Representative Daniel O'Donnell introduced a gay marriage bill in the Assembly.
Last week, former president Bill Clinton and his daughter Chelsea Clinton also threw their support behind New York's latest effort to legalize gay marriage.
