Three-time U.S. National Figure Skating champion John G. “Johnny” Weir is making the move from New Jersey to Manhattan.
According to the New York Post, Weir just closed on a $1.1 million midtown apartment within walking distance of the New York Public Library.
The one-bedroom condo originally listed for $1,235,000. It features teak hardwood floors, an open gourmet kitchen, and a lavishly appointed bath with soaking tub and limestone floor, according to real estate website StreetEasy.com.
Amenities at Twenty9th Park Madison include 24-hour concierge, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a yoga room and a beautiful roof-top lounge that offers stunning panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline.
Weir, who currently lives in New Jersey, has already started filming the second season of his over-the-top reality series Be Good Johnny Weir, which will be broadcast on gay cabler Logo later this year. The show's first season aired on the Sundance Channel.
The 26-year-old entertainer with a knack for being flamboyant recently pitched his new tell-all memoir Welcome to my World on cabler Headline News' Joy Behar Show.
