RuPaul's Drag Race will return to all-gay cabler Logo for a third season in January.

“RuPaul is back for a third season to decide who will 'shante! stay!' or 'sashay away' with a new batch of the nation's hottest, most glamorous drag queens,” the network said in a press release. “Wigs will fly and drama will run high as the contestants bring their over-the-top attitudes to the drag battle royale that is RuPaul's Drag Race.”

RuPaul unleashed his first search for America's next superstar drag queen two years ago. After crowning two queens, and upping the number of contestants from 9 to 12, America's first drag queen superstar is ready for a third go-around.

Contestants on the reality show face a barrage of fashion-related and talent challenges in their quest to win a prize package that includes a headlining spot on Logo's Drag Race Tour, a lifetime supply of Kryolan Professional Make-up and a cash prize of $75,000.

Season 3 adds Michelle Visage, RuPaul's outspoken sidekick on VH1's RuPaul Show and a former member of the pop group Seduction, to the judging panel.

While the contest gives viewers an insider's look at RuPaul's outrageous world of drag, producers say the show also tackles some of the real life prejudices female impersonators face.
