The kids from ABC's comedy hit Modern Family and cast members Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Ty Burrell appear in a new PSA for GLSEN.
The Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), which works to combat anti-gay behavior and bias in schools, recruited members of the ABC comedy hit to help pitch its Safe Space Campaign, which aims to place a GLSEN Safe Space Kit in every middle and high school in the country.
In the video released Wednesday, Ferguson, who is openly gay, says he was bullied so badly as a teen that he was forced to move to another school.
Also appearing in the PSA are three of the Modern Family kids: Ariel Winter, Rico Rodriguez and Nolan Gould.
“A Safe Space is a place where nobody judges you,” Gould says.
“Where you're safe from bullying or anything that you think is bad,” Rodriguez adds.
“Please visit SafeSpaceKit.com,” Burrell says. “Help us put a Safe Space Kit in every school in America.” (The video is embedded in the right panel of this page.)
