Director Olaf de Fleur's transgender Cinderella film has been a huge hit at film festivals worldwide. Last year, it won the Berlin Film Festival's Teddy Award for best film with a gay theme. Then, in July, the film won the Showtime Vanguard Award at Newfest, New York City's gay and lesbian film festival.

And on March 27, Raquela reveals her truth to here! viewers.

The Amazing Truth About Queen Raquela stars Raquela Rios as a Philippine transgender prostitute in search of a fairy tale life in Europe. Director de Fleur found Rios, a transgender herself, on the Internet while she was living in the Philippines. The film is Rios' acting debut.

The film documents the pair as they travel to Paris, shortly after the director makes contact. Will Raquela's dreams become reality? Will she find Mr. Right?

In an interview posted on the official movie website Rios admits she spends too much time on the Internet searching for the perfect guy. She says she realized early on she did not feel comfortable as a male, but due to strict parenting she kept it to herself. Finally, at the age of 17, she began living life as a girl. It was “freedom,” said Rios.
