In a new interview with an Australian outlet, singer-songwriter-actor Barbra Streisand says she's moving to Canada or Australia if Donald Trump wins the White House in November.
In a wide-ranging interview with Australia's 60 Minutes to promote her latest studio album, Streisand, a long-time Clinton supporter, said that she was “shocked” at Trump's rise.
“We're in shock,” Streisand said.
When asked about Trump's effect on the political landscape, Streisand compared Trump to a blister that's about to burst.
“Do you agree with what I've read here that in fact it's led to an increased level of tension, racial hatred even, a lot of division?” host Michael Usher asked.
“Because he's saying things that probably a lot of people have thought but they never said,” she answered. “And in a way, maybe it's like a blister that has to pop. I hope that's true, in a way. You know, get it over with and then let's come back to sanity.”
“I don't know. I can't believe it. I'm either coming to your country, if you let me in, or Canada,” Streisand added.
“You're very welcome [here].”
“Thank you very much,” she responded.
