Actor Stephen Amell, who is best known for his portrayal of Oliver Queen / Green Arrow on the CW's Arrow, this week congratulated Colton Haynes on his coming out.

Earlier this month, Haynes, who is best known for his roles as Jackson Whittemore in MTV's Teen Wolf and Roy Harper/Arsenal in The CW's Arrow, gave his first interview in which he discussed his sexual orientation.

“I'm so happy for Colton,” Amell told E! News.

“I've seen him struggle with anxiety and that's why he, well certainly one of the reasons why, he left Teen Wolf and he left Arrow. When he came back to Arrow this year simply for an episode, it was such a different version of Colton. He and I bonded more. I'm very very happy for him.”

Amell added that he would like to see Haynes return to the show.

“All he has to do is basically show up and we'll write him in. He's a good guy and he's a good actor,” Amell said. “Such a goodhearted gentle loving guy. I'm happy that he's happy.”
