Out singer Lance Bass this week weighed in on Caitlyn Jenner's recent revelation that she initially opposed gay marriage.
During an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres' daytime talk show, Jenner, a Republican, admitted that when “this whole gay marriage issue came up, at first I was not for it. I'm a traditionalist.”
“You know, it's always been a man and a woman. And I'm thinking, 'I don't quite get it.' But as time has gone on, I think like a lot of people on this issue have really changed their thinking here to I don't ever want to stand in front of anybody's happiness. That's not my job,” Jenner said.

Appearing on The Meredith Vieira Show, Bass, who last year married Michael Turchin in California and is a close friend of the Kardashian-Jenner family, was asked to weigh in on the matter.
“What I don't get is she's sitting there in Givenchy, full make up, saying 'I'm a traditionalist,'” Bass said. “I'm, like, what?”
“[But] I have to give her some room, too, because, I mean, even when I came out, I still caught myself saying, 'Oh, she's so hot.' Like doing that thing that you train yourself to do for so many years. So, I think we should give her a little room to grow.”
