Anderson Cooper, Ellen DeGeneres, Adam Lambert and Laverne Cox were among the LGBT celebrities to tweet New Year wishes.

“Happy New Year,” tweeted Laverne Cox of Netflix's Orange Is The New Black. “Our dreams, our heart's desires are not forbidden fruit. We can taste them. We can have them.”

“Everyone, have a great New Year and I hope 2015 is a beautiful year for you,” Boy George messaged.

Recently married Elton John, who helped ring in the new year with an appearance on Dick Clark's New Year's Rocking Eve, captioned a photo of himself in a red jacket on Instagram: “Getting ready to rock in 2015 in NYC. Happy New Year Everyone!!!!!!”

Adam Lambert shared a photo of himself holding a champagne glass during a London concert with Queen (pictured).

“2014 has been a year of such blessings,” Lambert messaged his more than 2.37 million followers. “I'm truly grateful to the universe for keeping [me] on this path...”

“Thanks to everyone who spent their night with us,” said Anderson Cooper of himself and his New Year's Eve Live co-host Kathy Griffin. “I hope you all have a great 2015 full of good health and happiness!”

Ellen DeGeneres added: “Happy New Year! I'm celebrating early in case I fall asleep. And by 'in case,' I mean I already put on my pajamas and took an Ambien.”
