The Westboro Baptist Church has taunted Michael Sam with a parody of the Beatles 1969 single Get Back.
Sam, the NFL's first openly gay player to be drafted, was cut Saturday by the St. Louis Rams.

“Now that the fag-dust settled and the Rams had to face a season with filthy fag Michael Sam and his ineptitude, they cut him,” Westboro said Sunday in a blog post.
“GodSmack! Money talks and lame-ohs walk. If they gave one bit of care about his never-dying soul they would have played this song as they ushered him out of the locker room, and into the media mob.”
(Related: Bryan Fischer: Michael Sam firing shows bakers can discriminate against gays.)
The Topeka, Kansas church's take on Get Back includes lyrics such as “Sammy was a man who thought he was woman” in place of “Jojo was a man who thought he was a loner” and substituting “Get back Loretta. Your mommy's waiting for you. Wearing her high-heel shoes. And her low-neck sweater. Get back home, Loretta” with “Get back Sammy. Your conscience is calling you. No high heal shoes. No low-neck sweater. Think about your soul, Sammy.”
Here are the complete lyrics.
Sammy was a man who thought he was a woman
Thought God would give him a pass
From the football field in dark depraved Missouri
Sammy made a big fag splash
Get back, get back
In the closet you belong
Get back, get back
In the closet you belong
Get back Sammy
No hope.
Get back, get back
In the closet you belong
Get back, get back
In the closet you belong
Get back Sam!
Everybody treated Sammy like a woman
But he was a rebel man
All the folks around him, clapped at his perversion
Gave his sin a helping hand
Get back, get back
In the closet you belong
Get back, get back
In the closet you belong
Get back Sammy!
No hope.
Get back, get back
In the closet you belong
Get back, way back
In the closet you belong
Wooooooo!!!!
Spoken:
Get back Sammy!
Your conscience is calling you
No high heal shoes; no low neck sweater
Think about your soul, Sammy
