PBS will air the British sitcom 'Vicious' starting in July.

According to Deadline Hollywood, the first episode will air on Sunday, July 6 at 10:30 PM.

Vicious, originally titled Vicious Old Queens, looks at the lives of elderly gay couple Freddie (played by Ian McKellen), a retired actor, and Stuart (Derek Jacobi), a former barman.

Jacobi and McKellen are gay in real life.

The 6 30-minute episode series is written by Gary Janetti, a former writer and executive producer of the Fox animated series Family Guy and NBC's Will & Grace.

In a teaser clip from the show released by British network ITV, Stuart and Freddie are sitting on a couch sipping tea.

“So who were you squawking at on the phone just now?” Freddie asks.

“My mother,” Stuart answers.

“Did you finally tell her about us?”

“I'm waiting for the right time.”

“It's been 48 years,” Freddie responds. (The video is embedded on this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)
