A parody Twitter account informs followers of possible bad weather caused by gays.
The account UkipWeather began issuing alerts on Saturday, the day David Silvester, a member of the UK Independence Party (Ukip), blamed bad weather on the passage of a gay marriage law.
“The scriptures make it abundantly clear that a Christian nation that abandons its faith and acts contrary to the Gospel (and in naked breach of a coronation oath) will be beset by natural disasters such as storms, disease, pestilence and war,” Silvester wrote in a letter published by his local paper.

UkipWeather's first tweet – “EXTREME WEATHER WARNING! Tonight for the first time, just about half ten. For the first time in history it's gonna start rainin' men” – was re-tweeted nearly 8,000 times. By Monday, the account had accumulated nearly 98,000 followers.
“A lingering look between 2 men at a gym in York has sparked concerns from residents living near the River Ouse,” a tweet from Sunday read.
“David Silvester has started to question his faith following the appearance of a rainbow over Henley-on-Thames,” read another.
The account's creator told UK's The Evening Standard that he would prefer to remain anonymous.
“I'm not a gay activist. I'm just a bloke who had an idea. I had a theme, a few jokes and it took off – with the help of Stephen Fry, of course,” he said.
