Cecilia Perez-Matos, the youngest daughter of former Venezuelan President Carlos Andre Perez, will marry Michelle Santill later this month in Cleveland, Ohio.

Perez, one of Latin America's most influential leaders, headed Venezuela from 1974 to 1979 and again from 1989 to 1993. He died in Miami, Florida three years ago on Christmas Day at the age of 88.

Perez-Matos, who became the first openly gay child of a president when she came out in her teens, announced details of her pending nuptials Friday on Facebook.

According to the announcement, the couple will first obtain their marriage license in New York before heading to Ohio, where they will be united in a ceremony to be held at the Glidden House in Cleveland's historic University Circle. Santill, a celebrity hair stylist, grew up in the Cleveland area.

Perez-Matos lives in Miami, where she is an attorney.

New York legalized gay marriage in 2011, but Ohio law prohibits such unions.
