Actor Michael Douglas thanked his Behind The Candelabra co-star Matt Damon in accepting UK gay glossy Attitude's Attitude Film Award.

In the film, Douglas plays flamboyant pianist Liberace, while Damon plays Scott Thorson, Liberace's alleged lover.

English pop rock group McFly presented Douglas with the award during a ceremony last week at the Royal Courts of Justice.

“I really want to thank Attitude magazine for this wonderful award here,” Douglas, holding his metal “a” award, said in his videotaped acceptance speech. “And I'm very sorry I can't be with you at the Royal Court this evening, but I'm going to be out in New Mexico shooting another film.”

“My performance couldn't even have come close if it wasn't for Matt Damon. Matt is a pistol. And I'm proud of him. And he showed tremendous courage. Someone in the prime of his career. And I do know what favorite lip gloss he like,” Douglas said with a smile. (The video is embedded on this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)
