A Chicago-area gay male couple claims they were forced out of a cab over a kiss.
Steven White and his boyfriend Matt McCrea told CBS 2 that the incident occurred on their way from O'Hare Airport Thursday night.
McCrea said the closed-mouth kiss was more of a peck.
However, the driver responded by pulling over on the Kennedy Expressway and ordering the couple to get out of his cab.
“He indicated that it was a public mode of transportation and we shouldn't kiss in his cab,” White said. “He pulled the cab over and stopped and wanted us to get out – on the Kennedy.”
The men convinced the driver to drop them off in a grocery store parking lot.
The driver told police that the couple was “making sex” in his cab.
“Rarely in my life have I ever wondered if I would have been treated differently if I were heterosexual,” White said. “That thought hardly ever crosses my mind, but last night I wondered.”
The couple said they would file a complaint.
