Gay cabler Logo next month will premiere DTLA, a drama about a diverse group of friends, some of whom are gay, living in downtown Los Angeles.

The show from The L Word executive producer Larry Kennar stars 38-year-old Darryl Stephens, who is best known for playing Noah Nicholson on Noah's Arc, the groundbreaking Logo series which predominantly featured gay black characters.

The cast also includes Oscar nominee Melanie Griffith (Working Girl), comedian Sandra Bernhard (Madonna: Truth or Dare), William McNamara (Doing Time on Maple Drive) and Jeremy Jackson (Baywatch).

In the show, Lenny (played by Stephens) and Bryan (Matthew Stephen Herrick) are a couple whose relationship is in decline. As Lenny and Bryan begin to dissolve their relationship, the lives of their friends are altered forever. (A trailer is embedded on this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)

An October 24 one hour premiere will be followed by 7 weekly 30-minute episodes.

DTLA has been acquired by Out TV Canada, which will also premiere the show on October 24, marking the first time a Kickstarter.com-funded television series has been picked up by both US and foreign distribution.
