Bradley Darryl “BD” Wong, who is best known for playing Dr. George Huang on the NBC police drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, will campaign for President Barack Obama over the weekend.

According to gay weekly the Washington Blade, Wong will participate in a canvassing event hosted by Asian and Pacific Islanders for Obama in Falls Church, Virginia.

The event will kick off at 10AM on Saturday from the Obama campaign's Falls Church office.

Wong is also expected to appear around 3:30PM at Virginia PrideFest 2012, which takes place from 1PM to 8PM in the Kanawha Plaza in Richmond.

The 51-year-old Wong is openly gay. He is also well known for playing Father Ray Mukada for six years on HBO's drama Oz and Henry Wu in the film Jurassic Park.
