A protest site of Rick Santorum's anti-gay views no longer tops Google search results.

SpreadingSantorum.com was sex-advice columnist and activist Dan Savage's answer to Santorum's 2003 remarks likening gay sex to “man on dog.”

Savage redefined the word “santorum” and created SpreadingSantorum.com to promote the definition.

Santorum (san-TOR-um) n. 1. The frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex.

Danny Sullivan, editor of SearchEngineLand.com, noted that the site no longer appears on the first Google search results page. However, the site's blog ranks sixth.

A Google spokesperson told Yahoo! News that the company makes more than 500 changes to its algorithms in a typical year.

“With each of those changes, sites will shuffle to different positions in our search results,” the spokesperson said. “We have not manually taken action to change the ranking of the site.”

Santorum earlier said that he had contacted the search giant with regards to his “Google problem.”

“I suspect if something was up there like that about Joe Biden, they'd get rid of it,” Santorum said. “If you're a responsible business, you don't let things like that happen in your business that have an impact on the country.”

He added: “To have a business allow that type of filth to be purveyed through their website or though their system is something that they say they can't handle but I suspect that's not true.”

Santorum foes have given the candidate the nickname “Frothy.”
