Adam Lambert's 30th birthday wish is for his fans to help him change the world.

“Today is my birthday, and for my 30th I'd like you all to help me change the world,” Lambert tweeted to his more than 1.3 million followers on Sunday along with a link to charity:water, the nonprofit dedicated to bringing clean water to thousands of people around the world.

“Last year for my 'golden birthday,' you gave me the best birthday present I could have asked for – you donated $323,803 to bring clean water to over 16,000 people!” Lambert is quoted as saying on his donation page. “It felt so amazing to have my fans, friends and family do something so inspiring for my birthday.”

“I've been asked what I would like people to do this year for my 30th birthday. I'd like to invite you to join me and 'give up' your birthday this year.”

Giving up a birthday means asking people to donate to charity:water in lieu of gifts.

Lambert added that he is hoping to raise $1 million for the charity.
