Singers Adam Lambert and Ricky Martin are among the openly gay celebrities accepting the ice bucket challenge in support of the ALS Association.

The group's #IceBucketChallenge helps raise awareness and funds to help in the fight to find a cure for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (also known as Lou Gehrics Disease), a neurodegenerative disease.

Lambert accepted the challenge from Chris Colfer, Matthew Smith and Charl Brown and dared Brian May, Roger Taylor and Rufus Taylor to follow his lead. (The video is embedded on this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)

In his 60-second video, Martin says he's very happy to be a part of the cause.

“But I also want to challenge some people. I want to challenge Will.i.am. I want to challenge Kylie Minogue. I want to challenge Joe Madden, Calle 13, Sofia Vergara, Juanes and Pablo Alboran,” Martin said before lifting a bucket of ice cold water and pouring it over himself.
