Marriott International and Hilton Hotels & Resorts this week announced new campaigns aimed at the LGBT market.

Marriott hired celebrated photographer Braden Summers to create a portrait series featuring such notables as NBA player Jason Collins and fashion model Geena Rocero.

Summers' job is to bring the hotel chain's #LoveTravels campaign to life.

“Braden's work so beautifully illustrates the inclusiveness and equality that we embrace,” said Marriott's Kristine Friend. “We are committed to ensuring that all our guests feel comfortable at all of our hotels and are proud to stay with Marriott. #LoveTravels is a universal theme we believe is shared by all cultures and communities and truly represents our company's philosophy and values. We also want to encourage our guests and travelers around the world to share their own journey and story through #LoveTravels @MarriottIntl.”

Summers' work was unveiled Monday as building wraps at five hotels in Washington, D.C.

Marriott is sponsoring Gay Pride events in Washington, D.C, New York City and San Francisco.

Hilton Hotels & Resorts is also sponsoring events in three North American cities: Whistler, Washington, D.C. And Toronto.

Hilton's Go Out campaign also includes a revamped website (Hilton.com/GoOut). On Saturday, June 28, The Beverly Hilton will host the wedding reception for Paul Katami and Jeff Zarrillo, plaintiffs in the case that successfully challenged California's gay marriage ban, Proposition 8.
