Anderson Cooper's anti-gay bullying
special will include Jane Lynch, Kelly Ripa and Dr. Phil McGraw.
The Anderson Cooper 360 Town Hall
presentation of Bullying:
It Stops Here will be broadcast on cabler CNN on Sunday at
8PM and again on Friday, October 14 at 8 and 10PM.
The special was filmed at Rutgers
University's new Livingston Student Center.
Rutgers freshman Tyler Clementi jumped
to his death from the George Washington Bridge last year after his
roommate Dharun Ravi streamed video onto the Internet of him and
another man having sex. Clementi was 18 when he turned to suicide on
September 29, 2010.
The program will feature Jane Lynch,
who is openly gay and plays sharp-tongued coach Sue Sylvester on the
Fox musical-comedy Glee, television psychologist Dr. Phil
McGraw and chat show host Kelly Ripa.
Lee Hirsch, director of The Bullying
Project, a film that documents
the bullying that five students face on a daily basis, and bullying
expert Rosalyn Wiseman also weigh in on the issue. About 150 Rutgers
students attended the forum.
