Micah Jesse, full name Micah Jesse
Koffler, has posed for the NOH8
Campaign, which raises awareness and funds for gay rights causes,
including ending California's 2008 voter-approved gay marriage ban,
Proposition 8.
In 2007, Jesse launched his lifestyle
and entertainment website MicahJesse.com, which focuses on positive
celebrity news, and was dubbed “the Perez Hilton of the East Coast”
by OK! magazine. Two years later, he launched his online
radio show The Micah Jesse Show.
“I've been dying to do this campaign
for so long,” an upbeat Jesse says in a behind-the-scenes video
clip.
“So, I'm finally here in Los Angeles
with the man himself,” he says, pointing to photographer-activist
Adam Bouska, “and we're going to take you along for the ride with
me on my very first NOH8 Campaign photo shoot.” (The video is
embedded in the right panel of this page.)
Bouska and his partner Jeff Parshley
photograph celebrities and everyday folks with their mouths duct
taped and the campaign's familiar “NOH8” slogan often written on
one cheek.
