Johnson & Johnson will feature a
lesbian couple in a new TV spot for their K-Y Brand INTENSE arousal
gel.
The pricey gel (list price $34 for a
10ml bottle) is not a lubricant. Instead, Johnson & Johnson
promotes it as a “climax enhancer.” “An arousal gel to
heighten female sensitivity and satisfaction,” the product states.
According to lesbian entertainment
website AfterEllen.com, the new commercial spot starring Alex and
Emma will begin airing nationally on multiple television networks and
online on September 5.
In the spot, Alex shares the secret
behind their marital bliss.
“I think that it's communication,”
Alex says. “Just total honesty.”
“And K-Y INTENSE,” Emma adds,
surprising her partner.
“Oh, I bought this K-Y INTENSE,”
Emma says, holding up the product.
After the big moment – illustrated by
fireworks exploding in the background as the women hold hands –
Alex says: “Good purchase.” (The video is embedded in the right
panel of this page.)
Johnson & Johnson has advertised on
the site and in 2010 and 2011 sponsored the Dinah Shore Weekend,
AfterEllen.com
reported.
