Robert Morrow, a supporter of Texas
Rep. Ron Paul, has suggested Texas Governor Rick Perry is gay in a
full-page newspaper ad.
Morrow paid for a full-page ad in the
Austin Chronicle looking for people who might have
participated in extramarital affairs with Perry. The ad comes just
days after Perry jumped into the race to become the 2012 GOP
presidential nominee.
Under the headline in a futuristic Star
Wars font that reads “Have YOU Ever Had Sex With Rick Perry?”
the ad states: “Are you a stripper, an escort, or just a 'young
hottie' impressed by an arrogant, entitled governor of Texas?
Contact CASH, and we will help you publicize your direct dealings
with a Christian-buzzwords-spouting, 'family values' hypocrite and
fraud.”
Morrow lists himself as the president
of CASH, which stands for the Committee Against Sexual Hypocrisy. He
told Salon.com that he's a supporter of Paul's presidential
campaign.
“Offer not valid for enabling wives
wearing Hillary Clinton boots,” Morrow jokes at the bottom of the
advertisement in small print. And then this: “Note to gay people:
If you know the truth about Rick, please QUIT covering for him.”
