Gay rights group Human Rights Campaign
(HRC) has been accused of supporting “homosexual agenda” in a
Texas ad.
The ad, which appeared in the Whitney,
Texas-based The Lakelander, asks readers to boycott the HRC,
and was paid for by Kaddatz Equipment, a Hillsboro-based
auctioneering and farm equipment company.
Under the headline “How Can We Stop
Perversion?” the ads informs readers that the HRC is a group that
supports perversion.
“They use the equal sign – as their
trademark, if you see this sign on a vehicle, they are supporting the
homosexual agenda which includes: Marriage between Adam & Steve;
Getting into our schools to teach students that perversion is normal;
Getting businesses to support their immoral lifestyle.”
The ad goes on to list the email
address of owner Alvin Kaddatz (akaddatz@yahoo.com) for a list of
companies to boycott.
“Pray that these people will repent
and receive Christ as savior,” the ad concludes.
The Lakelander confirmed to HRC
that the ad ran on August 10.
“Engaging locally is the best way to
advance equality and push back against the hate spread by Kaddatz
Equipment and others,” the
HRC wrote in a blog post.
