Glee co-star Darren Criss is
taking his success in stride.
The 24-year-old actor suits up for a
GQ photo spread, in which he reveals he's not overwhelmed by his
new-found fame.
Criss plays out-and-proud Dalton
Academy Warblers frontman Blaine Anderson on the Fox musical-comedy.
He boarded the hit series in its second season, just as creator Ryan
Murphy began amping up the gay quotient of the show.
His character is now romantically
involved with McKinley High gay student Kurt Hummel, played by Chris
Colfer.
But the so-called “gayest show” on
TV also has three additional closeted or questioning gay students.
And several peripheral characters, including Rachel Berry's
yet-to-be-seen dads, are also gay.
(Colfer
recently talked about the irony of right-wingers' love for Glee.)
In
his GQ photo spread, Criss gives us 8 looks to liven up a summer
wedding.
“It's all very relaxing,” Criss
told the magazine about his hectic schedule.
“You get a trailer on-set. You get
treated really well,” he said.
Criss added that going without shaving
is sufficient to keep him from being recognized, and, most likely,
creating a mob scene, on the street.
