Several members of the cast of the
long-running Fox medical drama House have recorded an It Gets
Better video.
In the 52-second video, Peter Jacobson,
who plays Dr. Chris Taub on the show, says: “Like many of you,
we've been shocked and sadened by the news of recent suicides by
lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender kids and teens who were
bullied simply for being themselves.”
The It
Gets Better Project was founded by gay rights activist Dan Savage
and encourages LGBT teens to not cave in to bullies, because life
gets better.
“Maybe you can't picture a future for
yourself becase things seem so bad right now,” says actor Jesse
Spencer, who plays Dr. Robert Chase. “But hang in there, life does
get better.”
“Depression is treatable. And
suicide is preventable,” adds actress Lisa Edelstein, who plays Dr.
Lisa Cuddy. “There is nothing wrong with you. You have something
very special to offer the world. You can only do that if you're
around to share it.” (The video is embedded in the right panel of
