Street preacher Kevin Farrer protested
singer Ricky Martin's Wednesday show in San Jose, California.
The 39-year-old father of twin boys
Valentino and Matteo came out as a “fortunate homosexual man”
last year.
Farrer, who heads Cry to God
Ministries, protested Martin's sexuality outside the HP Pavilion.
In a video posted by the group on
YouTube, two men receive a round of applause from passersby for
kissing each other in front of Farrer.
As Farrer preaches, “Oh, you got to
stop sodomizing, you got to stop doing it,” two unidentified men
dressed in black t-shirts begin to passionately make out in front of
the minister.
“No, no, no!” Farrer scolds the
couple. “Why do you guys do that? Don't do that. You're not on
the side of God. God is watching you. Oh, see you play sin, but you
don't understand what God thinks of this. God thinks this is wicked.
God thinks this is evil. What does God think of this? Have you
read the Bible. Nowhere should a man kiss another man.” (The
video is embedded in the right panel of this page.)
In an appearance on the late night talk
show Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Martin
said society had taught him to believe that being gay was evil.
