Ann Coulter says gay men can marry –
but only to girls.
The 49-year-old Coulter denied gay and
lesbian couples were being denied their civil rights during a
Wednesday night appearance at George Washington University sponsored
by Young Americans for Freedom, the
Daily
Caller
reported.
After her speech, in which she called
billionaire real estate mogul and possible 2012 GOP presidential
candidate Donald Trump a “clown,” a student asked her about her
opposition to gay marriage.
Coulter replied that he has “no fewer
rights than heterosexuals have,” adding that he could get married:
“It just has to be to a girl.”
Building on a similar argument she
first trotted out at this year's Conservative Political Action
Conference (CPAC), Coulter said the institution is being used by
liberals to destroy the family.
“The family has been under relentless
attack for 30 years in this country,” she said, insisting her
position wasn't anti-gay. “The gays didn't start it, but I
understand you're coming late to the sexual revolution. You're late
to the sexual revolution, but oh well, life is unfair.”
“Put that in your pipe and smoke it,”
she added.
