Newsweekly TIME has included Chris
Colfer on its TIME 100 list of the most influential people in the
world.
According
to the glossy, Colfer's portrayal of gay student Kurt Hummel on
the Fox musical-comedy Glee is inspiring.
Says Dianna Agron, who plays Quinn
Fabray on the show: “The honesty that he infuses into his Glee
character, Kurt, leaves you reeling. Our cast is blessed to hear
things like 'Your character has helped me through this, or helped me
do that,' but none more so than Chris. To witness the power he gives
to his audience firsthand? It's wonderful.”
“I'm not really afraid to be my
awkward self and I know there's lots and lots of other people just
like me out there that are awkward themselves and I think they just
appreciate that I'm not afraid to say the weird things that I say and
tweet the obnoxious things that I tweet,” Colfer told the magazine.
“I mean, I've tried being other
people and myself suits me the best,” he added. “People respond
to honesty.”
