Singer Lady Gaga will be honored with
gay cabler Logo's Always Next, Forever Now Award at its fourth annual
NewNowNext Awards next month.
“We knew the moment Lady Gaga made
her inaugural television appearance on our first NewNowNext Awards
back in 2008, she was destined for big things,” Dave Mace, senior
vice president of programming at Logo, said in a statement. “In
three short years, her ferocious talent and unending activism have
earned her 'icon' status for millions of 'little monsters' and Logo
viewers. All throughout her whirlwind rise, she's remained a friend
to Logo and we're honored to have her back on the show.”
“Simply put, she rocks our world,”
he added.
The Born
This Way singer, who is currently on tour, will accept her
award remotely.
Past recipients of the Always Next,
Forever Now Award include singers Britney Spears, Janet Jackson and
Paula Abdul.
Logo's NewNowNext Awards 2011 show will
take place on April 7 at the Avalon in Hollywood, California and will
be broadcast Monday, April 11 on Logo.
