Glee stars are pitching various
celebrities, including Hugh Jackman, Seal, Danny DeVito and Nathan
Lane, to play Rachel's gay dads.
The Fox musical-comedy has previously
mentioned Rachel's dads but speculation that fans of the show will
finally get to meet the couple skyrocketed after Tuesday's episode,
in which Rachel hosts a party at her house while her parents vacation
on the Rosie O'Donnell cruise. (Which, oddly, is supposed to be a
family cruise.)
“Nathan Lane and Danny DeVito,”
Matthew Morrison suggested
to The Hollywood Reported.
Glee guest star Kristin
Chenoweth's vote is for Seal and a “real white” guy. “Hugh
Jackman?” she pondered out loud.
Darren Criss, who plays out-and-proud
Dalton Academy student Blaine Anderson, said he wanted to think about
the questions, because “I'm very meticulous about these things,”
then added, “I'll tell you who I'd love to play someone's
grandfather Christopher Walken! Come to Glee, please!”
The 55-year-old Lane, who is openly
gay, currently plays the recurring gay role of Pepper on ABC's Modern
Family.
