Armie Hammer says he's ready for a “ton
of kissing scenes” with Leonardo DiCaprio in the upcoming Clint
Eastwood-directed film J. Edgar.
Hammer, the 24-year-old star of The
Social Network, will play opposite DiCaprio in the upcoming
biopic of FBI director J. Edgar Hoover.
DiCaprio will portray Hoover, and
Hammer will play Clyde Tolson, Hoover's alleged lover. The film is
based on a script written by Milk scribe Dustin Lance Black.
Speaking
to E! Online at Sunday's SAG Awards, Hammer said the
script included numerous kissing scenes.
“It's not a kissing scene – it's a
ton of kissing scenes,” Hammer said. “Yeah, you hear that, Leo?
Pucker up!”
Hammer said that he only met DiCaprio
at Saturday's DGA Awards and that he was excited about the project.
“I'm so excited to work with Clint,”
he added.
Last week, DiCaprio tweeted to his more
than 650,000 followers: “Start shooting J. Edgar Hoover story on
Feb. 5th, look forward to working on more eco projects
this year too.”
